Today, on September 9, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of our independence and the beginning of the new academic year was held at Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute under the slogan "We are one nation when we are united, when we are together – we are a homeland." The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Shahrisabz, Azamat Sultonov, the Honored Worker of Culture of Uzbekistan, Elmurod Boymurodov, dedicated professors who have worked at the Institute for many years, students, and their parents.

The event was opened by the rector of the institute, Sherzod Nematov, who spoke about the reforms being carried out in every field in our country today, the attention given to youth, and the conditions created for students at the institute. He also congratulated the newly admitted freshmen on being granted the honor of becoming students and wished them great success in achieving their goals. During the event, congratulatory speeches, poems glorifying the homeland, and songs were heard.

After the ceremony, all students continued with "Lessons of Independence" in their classrooms.
